Changes, Cancellations and refunds
If you wish to make any changes to your arrangements after they have been confirmed, including if you wish to cancel all or some of them, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible. Your notice requesting a change or cancellation will only take effect when it is received in writing by us at holidays@qatarairways.com.qa and will be effective from the date on which we receive it.Charges may apply to amendments and/or cancellations as per the applicable rules displayed at the time of booking. All changes are subject to availability and confirmation from the service provider.
If You Cancel Your Holiday
Cancellation fees and terms will vary depending on the type of product and package purchased, the supplier, and the time of cancellation. Additional fees may apply if we are not notified in time.
Certain products and services - such as excursions, transfers, activities, event vouchers or entry tickets, flight or accommodation options, room/board upgrades, early check-in/late check-out rooms, airport parking, etc., might be non-refundable and cancellation fees can be up to 100% of the price for that product and service.
Suppliers for Tours & Activities or Travel vouchers of a Holiday Package may permit cancellation of each such individual voucher whereas the Flight and Hotel components of a Holiday Package may not be canceled separately and can only be canceled together.
The cancellation fees applicable for your booking will be provided to you during the booking process at check-out under the (“important information”) icon. You must read and accept the Cancellation Policies to continue the booking process and purchase your holiday package.
Once travel commences, no refunds are available for partially used Holiday Bookings. For fully unused bookings, any refund will depend on us receiving a refund from the service provider.
In the event you fail to show up for your flight’s relevant check-in or boarding times, or fail to check-in the hotel on the check-in date and within check-in times, the booking will lapse and not be substitutable for other flights or hotels, refunded, nor any credit will be given for any unused portion of the package and cannot be used for future purchases. However, this does not apply if your failure to appear was due to extraordinary circumstances (e.g. illness, force majeure). In such cases, we will offer a refund or alternative remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
When your booking has been cancelled successfully you will receive a cancellation invoice.
You may cancel any Holiday Package arrangements prior to their commencement (following the process outlined above) in the event that i) circumstances amounting to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances (as defined in these terms) are occurring at the place where your arrangements are due to be performed or its immediate vicinity and; ii) if the performance of your arrangements will be significantly affected by those unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. In this event, you will receive a refund without undue delay of any payments made but this is the maximum extent of our liability, and we regret we cannot meet any other expenses or losses you may incur as a result.
If your arrangements are a Holiday Package and if any member of your party is prevented from travelling, that person(s) may transfer their place to someone else (introduced by you and satisfying all the conditions applicable to the arrangements, including an agreement to these booking conditions) providing we are notified in writing not less than seven days before departure and you pay an amendment fee and meet all costs and charges incurred by us and/or incurred or imposed by us or any of our suppliers. Both you and the person to whom you would like to transfer your arrangements shall be jointly and severally liable for the payment of any balance due and for any additional fees, charges or other costs arising from the transfer. If you are unable to find a replacement, cancellation charges as set out below will apply in order to cover our estimated costs. Otherwise, no refunds will be given for passengers who do not travel or for unused services.
If We Cancel Your Holiday
Changes and cancellations before confirmation
We may be unable to confirm your booking due to missing or incorrect information; if verification steps are not completed within the given timeframe; where there are problems with credit card electronic communications, information or transactions; where services are not available, or where the supplier has provided inaccurate price and/or information; where we have a suspicion of criminal activity (including but not limited to unauthorized use of a credit or debit card or other online the booking.
In these cases, bookings will not be confirmed and may be cancelled.
Where we refer to a ‘price reduction’ in this clause, we mean that we will give you an appropriate reduction in the price you paid for the arrangements affected for any period during which there was lack of conformity (unless that lack of conformity is attributable to you). Where we refer to ‘compensation’, we will pay you appropriate compensation without undue delay for any damage which you sustain as a result of any lack of conformity subject to the limitations and exclusions in section B of ‘If Things Go Wrong’.
Changes and cancellations before departure
Most changes will be insignificant, and we reserve the right to make them. If we make an insignificant change to the main characteristics of any Holiday Package arrangements, we will try to notify the change to you as soon as reasonably possible before your departure, but we will not notify you about any other insignificant change. We will have no other responsibilities to you in respect of any insignificant changes.
Examples of “insignificant changes” made before departure include the following:
- A change of outward departure time or overall length of your arrangements of twelve hours or less.
- A change of accommodation to another of the same standard or classification.
Occasionally we may have to make a significant change to your confirmed Holiday Package arrangements, and we reserve the right to do so. A significant change is one where we significantly alter any essential element of your arrangements (other than the price) owing to circumstances beyond our control. Examples of “significant changes” made before departure include the following:
- A change of accommodation area for the whole or a significant part of your time away.
- A change of accommodation to that of a lower standard or classification for the whole or a significant part of your time away.
- A change of outward departure time or overall length of your arrangements of twelve hours or more.
- A significant change to your itinerary, missing out one or more destinations entirely.
- Where we or our supplier can no longer fulfil any special requirements that we have accepted and confirmed on our confirmation invoice, this will have a significant impact on your arrangements.
- Where we increase the price of your arrangements by more than 8% of the price of your arrangements (excluding any insurance premiums, amendment charges and/or additional services).
If we must make a significant change or cancel before departure, we will inform you without undue delay and if there is time to do so before departure, we will offer you the choice of the following options:
- (for significant changes) agreeing to the changed arrangements,
- accepting the cancellation or terminating the contract for the arrangements and receiving a refund (without undue delay) of all monies paid; or
- accepting an offer of alternative arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available.
(In the event that any proposed change or alternative offered results in a reduction or increase in the price you have agreed to pay or an increase or decrease in the quality of arrangements we have agreed to provide, we will also notify you of any price reduction or additional amount due).
You must notify us of your choice within 7 days of our offer. If you fail to do so, we will contact you again, reiterating the above choices and sums payable or refundable and if you again fail to respond within 7 days, we may terminate the contract and refund all payments made by you without undue delay.
Subject to the exceptions detailed below and where your arrangements are a package, we will where appropriate, pay you reasonable compensation, subject to the limitations and exclusions in section B of clause 12. The compensation that we offer does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.
We will not pay you compensation where:
- we make a significant change or cancel before you have paid the final balance of the cost of your arrangements;
- we make a significant change or cancel as a result of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as set out in clause 9;
- we cancel your arrangements no later than 20 days before they are due to start because the minimum number of participants to run them has not been reached.
We will not make a price reduction or pay you compensation; and the above options will not be available where:
- we make an insignificant change;
- we cancel as a result of any failure by you (including a failure to make payment in accordance with these terms);
- where the change(s) or cancellation by us arises out of alterations to the confirmed booking requested by you.
If You Change Your Holiday
You cannot make any changes to your booking other than such explicitly set forth in these Terms and Conditions or the respective suppliers’ terms and policies. If allowed, the change may include additional charges and fees imposed by the supplier.
Certain suppliers may allow a “change” but treat that “change” as a “cancellation” and impose fees which can be up to 100% of the price for that part of your holiday. In order to make changes to your booking, you must pay any applicable supplier-imposed fees.
Any change of booking will render the initial amount paid forfeited. When changing your booking, you may also forfeit certain discounts, promotional offers and other benefit(s) that you were initially entitled to from your original booking (including but not limited to any price reductions, savings made and promotion benefits).
There might be a date and time imposed until which you can request a change. Payment of any cost associated with the change must be made prior to that date and time for the change to be possible.
Refunds
Any refunds (after the deductions of all applicable fees) to the Customer will be transferred back to the party whose payment method was used to make the original booking. Please note that refunds are dependent on the payment processors and credit card systems and may take up to 30 days from the date the refund is initiated by “us”.
Availability & rates
The price of your confirmed Holiday Package arrangements is subject to variations which occur solely as a direct consequence of changes in:- the price of the carriage of passengers resulting from the cost of fuel or other power sources;
- the level of taxes or fees on your confirmed arrangements imposed by third parties not directly involved in the performance of the package, including tourist taxes, landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports; or
- the exchange rates relevant to the package.
Price variations will be calculated by applying the cost differential we experience as a result of the above factors. Prices may go up or down and we will notify you about any variation by sending you a calculation explaining the variation no less than 20 days before you are due to depart.
If your arrangements are a Holiday Package, and if that means that you have to pay an increase of more than 8% of the price of your arrangements (excluding any insurance premiums, amendment charges and/or additional services), we will offer you the options in clause If We Cancel Your Holiday.
If prices go down as a result of the above factors, we will make a reflective refund, but we will also deduct our administrative expenses from what is owed to you and this may extinguish the value of the refund due.
Also, note that travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on price due to contractual protections in place.
Every effort will be made to confirm a Holiday Booking exactly as per the Customer’s request; however in case of non-availability, we reserve the right to offer similar alternatives.
Prices shown on the Website do not include any fees or charges for optional supplements, including minibar snacks or telephone calls.
Taxes and surcharges are generally included in the product price.
Any special requests including but not limited to non-smoking rooms / adjoining / interconnecting / disabled room will be made known to the hotel. These are subject to availability and at the discretion of the hotel.
Travelers are responsible for complying with the instructions of Qatar Airways, with respect to flight check-in and boarding times.

Above changes and schedule changes of up to 12 hours are not significant and are not entitled to cancellation, refund, compensation, or any booking amendment.

Additional charges may be imposed by Qatar Airways for meals, luggage, seat selection, etc. We are not responsible for such charges and charges may be amended by Qatar Airways at any time.

Specifications & Preferences
Product/services images

The images and information are provided to give a general impression of the product/service.
Please note that the images of room types may not always reflect the exact bed configuration of the room you are booking. For example, a triple room may include a double bed and a single bed, or two single beds, depending on regional standards. Where bed arrangements are essential for your booking (e.g., separate beds or specific configurations), we recommend checking with the hotel in advance.
Any additional services such as extra beds or costs may incur an additional charge, which will be communicated to you during the booking process where applicable.
The binding details of your booking, including the key characteristics of the travel services, will be confirmed during the booking process and in your booking confirmation. These will form the contractual basis of your package. We remain responsible under applicable consumer laws, for ensuring that the services provided conform to the agreed terms.
Product/services ratings
The rating system on this Website is provided for your reference only, and QRH does not guarantee the accuracy of the ratings.
The existing ratings are based on information given by third parties such as Suppliers, users or other review websites.
Hotel star ratings
Star ratings are only a general guide. You should be aware that these are not necessarily the official local rating and that standards can vary between hotels and accommodation of the same class in different countries, and even in the same country. Different countries have different standards; a 3star hotel in one country is not necessarily equivalent to a 3-star hotel in another.
Hotel meals
If hotel meals are part of a booking, the number of meals depends on the number of overnight stays. Full board normally includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Half board normally includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner, depending on the booking. Hotel stay, which includes main meals, generally commences with dinner on the day after arrival at the hotel and terminates with breakfast (on half board) or lunch (on full board) on the day of departure. If one or more meals cannot be taken, no refund will be made.
The customer is reminded that, unless specified otherwise on the Website, drinks are not included with meals. If drinking water is not available, the customer will bear the cost of buying it.

Where sightseeing is concerned, the sequence of the various tourist attractions is shown only as an indication. This can be changed by the suppliers.

On Your Holiday
Only you can use your accommodation. You must not let anyone else stay there. You are responsible for any damage to your accommodation or its contents during your holiday.
We can refuse to accept you on your holiday or continue dealing with you if we, or someone in authority, believe your behavior (by any form of communication or in person) is disruptive. The Captain of your aircraft or ship can restrict your movements on board or remove you.
If you are disruptive and stopped from boarding your flight from the UK, or disruptive during your flight, we’ll treat your booking as cancelled by you at that moment. If you are disruptive on your holiday we can remove you from your accommodation and you will be responsible for your own return home and for any other members of your group who cannot or will not travel without you.
You will not be entitled to a refund in either case and we will not provide compensation or meet any costs or expenses.
If you are disruptive you will be responsible for any damages, costs and expenses (including legal expenses) incurred as a result.
This can include cleaning, repairing or replacing property lost, damaged or destroyed by you, compensating any passenger, crew, staff or agent affected by your actions and diverting the aircraft or ship for the purpose of removing you.
Disruptive behavior includes being threatening or abusive, damaging property, upsetting, annoying or disturbing any other traveller, our staff or agents or putting any of them in danger.
If Things Go Wrong
Where we refer to a ‘price reduction’ in this clause, we mean that we will give you an appropriate reduction in the price you paid for the arrangements affected for any period during which there was lack of conformity (unless that lack of conformity is attributable to you). Where we refer to ‘compensation’, we will pay you appropriate compensation without undue delay for any damage which you sustain as a result of any lack of conformity subject to the limitations and exclusions in section B of this clause.
A.Our responsibilities differ according to what you have booked:
In relation to bookings of Holiday Packages
We accept responsibility as an “organiser” under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Subject to these booking conditions, if we fail to arrange or perform your package arrangements in accordance with our agreement, we will remedy any resulting lack of conformity. If that is impossible or entails disproportionate costs (taking into account the extent of the lack of conformity and the value of the arrangements affected), we will instead pay you compensation subject to clause B of this clause.
In relation to all other bookings
We have a duty to select the suppliers of the services making up your booking with us using reasonable skill and care. Except as stated otherwise in these terms, we have no liability to you for the actual provision of the services, except in cases where it is proved that we have breached that duty and damage to you has been caused. Therefore, providing we have selected the suppliers using reasonable care and skill, we will have no liability to you for anything that happens during the service in question or any acts or omissions of the supplier, its employees or agents.
Please note in relation to all bookings:
- It is your responsibility to show that we or our supplier(s) have been negligent if you wish to make a claim against us.
- It is a condition of our acceptance of the responsibility above that you inform us and the supplier(s) concerned without undue delay of the lack of conformity you perceive; and allow us a reasonable period in which to remedy it. Please contact our local representative at holidays@qatarairways.com.qa
B.Limitations and exclusions of responsibility
In these terms and conditions, our responsibilities are limited, and our duty to pay compensation is limited and excluded as follows:
We will not be responsible, make a price reduction or pay you compensation for any lack of conformity, injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, cost or other claim of any description if it results from:
- the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected;
- the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party unconnected with the provision of your arrangements and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; or
- unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as set out in clause 9.
We will not be responsible, make a price reduction, or pay compensation:
- for services or facilities which do not form part of our agreement or where they are not advertised by us. For example, any excursion you book while away, or any service or facility which your hotel or any other supplier agrees to provide for you.
- for any damage, loss or expense or other sum(s) of any description which on the basis of the information given to us by you concerning your arrangements prior to them being confirmed, we could not have foreseen you would suffer or incur if we breached our contract with you; or that relate to any business.
Any price reduction or compensation that is payable will be calculated taking into consideration all relevant factors, for example (but not limited to):
- whether or not you have followed the complaints and notifications procedure as described in these conditions. It is a condition of our acceptance of liability under this clause that you notify any claim to ourselves and our supplier(s) strictly in accordance with the complaint’s procedure set out in these conditions.
- the extent to which ours or our employees’ or suppliers’ negligence affected the overall enjoyment of your arrangements.
- deduction that we must make to take account of any money which you have received or are entitled to receive from any transport provider or hotelier for the complaint or claim in question.
Please also note that where any payment is made, the person(s) receiving it (and their parent or guardian if under 18 years) must also assign to ourselves or our insurers any rights they may have to pursue any third party and must provide ourselves and our insurers with all assistance we may reasonably require.
Luggage or personal possessions and money
The maximum amount we will have to pay you in respect of any claim for loss of and/or damage to any luggage or personal possessions or money is an amount equivalent to the excess on your insurance policy which applies to this type of loss per person in total because you are assumed to have adequate insurance in place to cover any losses of this kind.
Claims covered by an International Convention
When arranging transportation for you, we rely on the terms and conditions contained within any applicable International Conventions. The extent of or the conditions under which compensation is to be paid, or liability accepted, will in all cases be limited as if we were carriers under the appropriate Conventions, which include The Paris Convention (with respect to hotel arrangements). You can ask us for copies of these Conventions.
Any other claims which don’t involve injury, illness, death or damage caused by us or our suppliers intentionally or negligently; or other liability that can’t be limited by law
The maximum amount we will have to pay you in respect of all such claims is three times (twice in the case of arrangements which aren’t packages) the price paid by or on behalf of the person(s) affected in total. This maximum amount will only be payable where everything has gone wrong and you or your party has not received any benefit at all from your arrangements.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions we will not be liable or pay you a price reduction or compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of the party who seeks to rely on them which we or the supplier(s) of the service(s) in question could not avoid even if all reasonable measures had been taken. These events can include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster and adverse weather, sea, ice and river conditions and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned control. Advice from the Foreign Office to avoid or leave a particular country may constitute unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
Assistance to those travelling on a package in the event of difficulty or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances
Where you have booked a package, we will provide appropriate assistance without undue delay in the event that you experience difficulty including where you are unable to return to your agreed point of departure because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as set out in this clause 9. Such assistance will extend to providing appropriate information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance; and helping you to make distance communications and to find alternative travel arrangements. We will charge a reasonable fee for such assistance if the difficulty is caused by you intentionally or as a result of your act or omission. In the event such assistance is needed please contact our local representative at holidays@qatarairways.com.qa

Travel Agent Liability
The flight, transportation, accommodations and other travel products and services on this Website are purchased from various independent suppliers
that are not subject to QRH or OTU control, including but not limited to Wholesalers, Qatar Airways, hotels and other suppliers providing travel or other services. Except where required by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, neither QRH, OTU its affiliates, owners, officers, agents, employees and contractors, nor any associate organization shall be held liable for any act, default, injury (including personal injury, emotional injury, or death), loss, expense, damage, deviation, delay, curtailment or inconvenience caused to or suffered by any person or their property, howsoever arising, which may occur or be incurred by any organization or person, even though such act, default, injury, loss, expense, damage, deviation, delay, curtailment or inconvenience may have been caused or contributed to: (a) by the act, neglect or default of QRH, OTU or of any persons for whom it would otherwise be responsible, or (b) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment or instrumentality under the control of independent suppliers. In addition, QRH and OTU cannot be liable for delays in departure or interruption of your vacation arrangements caused by weather conditions, technical problems of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment or instrumentality, strikes, war, terrorist activity, civil commotion or any causes beyond the control of QRH or OTU. In no event will QRH or OTU be responsible for incidental, consequential or special damage or loss suffered by any person. OTU and QRH’s maximum liability, for any reason whatsoever, will be limited to the amount paid to QRH or OTU for its services.
Except where required by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 or the ATOL Regulations 2018, in issuing tickets and coupons for transportation of the purchaser by any means and making arrangements for hotel or other accommodation, QRH and OTU are not acting as principal but only as agent for the companies, corporations or persons providing or offering the means of transportation and accommodation. Except where required by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 or the ATOL Regulations 2018, to the extent QRH and OTU shall not be acting as an agent, as stated above, they shall be deemed to be acting as an agent of the purchasers in arranging or booking transportation and accommodation. Except where required by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 or the ATOL Regulations 2018, you further understand that neither OTU or QRH owns or operates such third-party suppliers and accordingly, agree to seek remedies directly and only against those suppliers and not hold QRH responsible for their acts or omissions.
Any relevant international convention, for example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by sea, the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision of accommodation, which limit the amount of and conditions under which compensation can be claimed for death, injury, delay to passengers and loss, damage and delay to luggage. We are to be regarded as having all benefit of any limitation of the extent of or the conditions under which compensation is to be paid under these or any conventions. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
Governing law, jurisdiction and limitation of action
These Terms & Conditions are governed exclusively by and are to be interpreted in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales. You submit it to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. You can choose the law and jurisdiction of Scotland or Northern Ireland but only if you live there.
Miscellaneous
QRH shall not be held liable for any non-performance or violation of these Terms, or any damage or harm to users caused by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as defined in these terms.
If any one or more of the provisions of these Terms is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions hereof shall not be affected in any way or impaired thereby.
Failure by QRH or OTU to enforce any provision of these Terms at any time shall not be construed as a waiver of their respective right to enforce the breach of such provision or any other provision in these Terms, or as a waiver of any continuing, succeeding or subsequent breach of any provision or other provisions of these Terms.
Protecting Your Money
We provide security for flight inclusive packages by way of a bond held by the Civil Aviation Authority under ATOL number XXX[EEK1] . When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL certificate. This lists the flight, accommodation, car hire and/or other services that are financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. Not all holiday or travel services offered and sold by us will be protected by the ATOL Scheme. Please check your ATOL Certificate or ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking.
We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations, and you agree to pay any outstanding money to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder. In which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL Scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.
If you book arrangements other than a Holiday Package, your monies will not be financially protected. Please ask us for further details.
