    Barcelona holiday experiences

    • Barcelona is the capital of the Catalan region of Spain and so is a hive of activity with many famous attractions. One of the best known is Gaudí’s unfinished church, La Sagrada Família, which towers above the city and remains under construction to this day. The Barri Gótic (Gothic Quarter) is also worth visiting for its ancient buildings including those from the medieval and Roman eras.
    • Just because you’re in the heart of the city doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the beach. Barcelona boasts three miles of sandy beaches — a great spot for catching the sunset. 10% of the city is made up of parks (sixty-eight in total) as well so you can spend some time relaxing when you’re not visiting one of the many museums or art galleries. Top of the list is the Picasso Museum, where you can view a collection entirely made up of the master’s works.
    • There are no fewer than 20 Michelin Stars across Barcelona’s restaurants making it one of the best cities in the world to dine in. Some of the best cuisine can be found in Barri Gótic but the whole city has an eclectic dining experience, where Catalan specialities can be found next to international dishes and well-known Spanish classics such as paella and tapas.
