    • Shopping in Kigali is diverse. You can spend the day browsing the many souvenir stalls for artisanal gifts or explore the outlets in Kigali Heights, its first shopping mall.
    • Book a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking day excursion to Volcanoes National Park. A minibus will take you on the scenic two-hour drive to the park to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Just remember to book your gorilla permit as far as six months in advance.
    • Take a day trip to Akagera National Park.  Just two and half hours’ drive from Kigali, this beautiful big-five park is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras and more.
