Arrive in Kigali where you will receive a warm Rwandan welcome from a representative outside the customs and immigration hall. You will then take a transfer to your city accommodation, The Kigali Serena Hotel. You will then have the evening to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will check-out and make your way to Akagera National Park. The park is the largest protected wetland in central Africa and is home to the famous big 5 as well as a host of other Instaworthy animals including hippos, crocodiles, giraffes and more. You will stay in the luxurious Akagera Game Lodge where you will enjoy the most incredible panoramic views of the national park. During your transfer to the lodge the chances are you will catch a glimpse of the parks wildlife and enjoy a taste of what is to come tomorrow. Upon arrival you will proceed to check in, then enjoy lunch before heading out for a boat cruise where you will get up close to the park’s marine life. You will then enjoy the evening at your own leisure.

Wake up to the magnificent sound of the surrounding wildlife before enjoying a delicious breakfast at the lodge. You will then grab your packed lunch boxes and embark on a full day game drive. Led by your guide, you will drive along the park tracks in a 4WD Safari vehicle, while looking out for the famous Big 5: elephants, the buffalo, lions, leopard, and rhinoceros. Once you have got all your snaps and took a selfie with an elephant you will enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites before returning to the lodge where you can enjoy the evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, it is time to head cross country as we set our sights on Volcanoes National Park. You will then make your way to your accommodation, Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel. After check in you will have the afternoon and evening to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities.

You will wake up early and enjoy a delicious breakfast before getting ready to set off on a what is sure to be a life changing experience.

With an estimated 880 Gorillas left in the world, this once in a lifetime experience allows you the unique opportunity to see these gentle creatures in their natural habitat.

You will make your way to the park headquarters for the gorilla trek briefing at 7am before taking a transfer to the starting point of your trek. You will then meet your guide who has years of experience interacting with the Gorillas and knows exactly where to find them. Once located your guide will take you on a spectacular hike through the lush jungle of Rwanda…prepare yourself for truly unforgettable panoramic views along the way. Excitement continues to build during the trek as you near closer to the Gorillas until your guide signals that they are in sight. That first glimpse of the Gorillas is truly magical and something you will not forget in a hurry. You will then spend the next hour getting up close and personal to these gentle giants, watching them play, eat and chilling out.

After the mornings excitement, you’ll return to the hotel for a well-earned lunch and rest. In the afternoon visit the nspiring Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. You will then return to the hotel in the evening where you will enjoy an evening at leisure.
