Itinerary

This tour takes you east on the main road from Reykjavik across the lowlands of south Iceland that offers impressive views of lush green farmlands, volcanoes, glaciers and waterfalls.

Exiting the main road right next to Seljalandsfoss waterfall ahead lies the winding, unbridged gravel road to Þórsmörk Nature Reserve.

Flanked by impressive mountains and glacial rivers Þórsmörk nature reserve is characterized by dense birch wood that covers winding ridges and small valleys separated by steep slopes and cliffs. Vast network of trails that cover the spectrum of skill levels make Þórsmörk an ideal location for hikers and nature enthusiast. Here you will go for a one hour hike with your guide to try out some of the trails. After the hike we take a short lunch break before heading to Stakkholtsgjá gorge.

In Stakkholtsgjá gorge you will hike into the gorge with your guide to check out the magnificent towering cliffs.

Next we drive to the Gljúfrabúi waterfall and Seljalandsfoss waterfall located right next to each other where you will get the chance to walk up close to view them before heading back to Reykjavík.

Great value, endless opportunities for adventures and breathtaking experiences make this tour a must do on your holiday in Iceland.
